Tragic : Police Sergeant Shot Dead By Senior Colleague For Laughing At Him

 

A police inspector identified as Sergeant Basharu Alhassan, recently lost his life after he was shot dead by a Police inspector identified as Ya’ u Yakubu during an altercation. According to the informations we gathered, it was learnt that both officers attached to the Kano state Police command, were involved in a heated argument which later resulted in a physical confrontation which ultimately claimed the life of the police Sergeant.

It was learnt that the unfortunate incident happened on Tuesday evening at a duty post where both men were stationed somewhere in Warawa local government area, Kano state. It was gathered that during the fight which lasted for over 30 minutes, the Inspector Yakubu, his gun and fired at Sergeant Alhassan fatally wounding him, the deceased was immediately rushed to Wudil General hospital where he eventually gave up the ghost.

Although informations concerning what actually caused the fight between both men still remains unclear, however it was learnt that claimed that inspector lost his temper and shot Alhassan who for repeatedly mocking him and laughing at him over his recent transfer away from Warawa local government area.

The ugly incident was also confirmed by Kano state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Deputy Superintendent Of Police (DSP) Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa. DSP Kiyawa while confirming the incident revealed that the suspect (Yakubu) became enraged with the deceased (Alhassan), who had been making fun of him and laughing at him because he was recently transferred away from Warawa local government area.

It was also learnt that the suspect was immediately disarmed and apprehended by his colleagues, and was placed in detention for interrogations further investigations, and he would soon be made to face further prosecution and disciplinary actions.
